Stanzora

AI governance built on verifiable decision records

Can you verify every AI-assisted decision in your organization?

Our vision

A world where every important AI-assisted decision can be explained, reviewed and proven by anyone entitled to ask.

When a decision is challenged, can you show the recorded evidence, the rule applied, the human approval and the outcome?

Stanzora is built for that moment. In V1, each AI-assisted decision becomes a portable record that preserves the evidence, the rule applied and the human review. Authorized reviewers will be able to check that record independently, without relying on Stanzora's systems.

MVP in development, working demo available, launch in 2027. We are looking for design partners: organizations that test Stanzora early and help shape it. Working demo with simulated data. The V1 capabilities described on this site are still being built and have not been independently validated.

The problem

When an AI-assisted decision is questioned, what can you actually prove?

You may already have AI policies, risk assessments and activity logs. But when one specific decision is challenged by an auditor, a regulator or the person affected, the questions get precise.

  • 01What information was available when the decision was made?
  • 02Which rule applied, and which version of it?
  • 03What did the AI recommend?
  • 04Who reviewed or approved that recommendation?
  • 05What action actually happened?
  • 06Can someone outside your team verify the evidence?

A log tells part of the story. A verifiable decision record preserves what you need to examine the whole sequence. That is the layer Stanzora focuses on.

How it works

Four principles behind a decision record you can defend

The first release of Stanzora is being built around four capabilities. Each one answers a question buyers ask when a decision is under scrutiny.

PLANNED FOR V101

Verify it without trusting us

Portable records. Independent verification.

Export a decision record in a documented format. An authorized reviewer will be able to check its integrity with an offline verifier, without a Stanzora account or a connection to Stanzora services.

What this means: Verifying an exported record should never depend on continued access to the platform.

PLANNED FOR V102

Your data stays in your environment

Your infrastructure. Your data controls.

In V1, Stanzora runs in an environment you control, so decision evidence is not sent to services operated by Stanzora.

What this means: You can assess Stanzora against your own hosting, security and information-management rules.

PLANNED FOR V103

See what is missing, not only what is there

Integrity is not completeness.

An intact record is not always a complete one. In V1, Stanzora shows what was recorded and what is missing side by side, such as an absent source, approval or outcome.

What this means: A clean integrity check never hides an incomplete file.

PLANNED FOR V104

Keep the history when a decision is challenged

The original decision stays intact.

When a decision is contested, Stanzora links the original record to the challenge, the review, the reasons and any revised outcome. Nothing is silently overwritten.

What this means: You can show how a challenge was handled and what changed.

Independent verification

How verification will work in V1

The real test of a decision record is whether someone outside your team can check it. This is the planned V1 workflow.

PLANNED V1 WORKFLOW
  1. Export

Export the decision record and its evidence package in a documented format.

  2. Verify offline

Run the offline verifier on any machine. No Stanzora account, network connection or vendor service is needed.

  3. Read the result

Get two separate answers: whether the record has changed since it was sealed, and whether expected evidence is missing.

What verification proves, and what it does not

Verification shows that a record is unchanged and what it contains. It does not show that the decision was lawful, fair or correct. That judgment stays with your organization.

The product

Follow the evidence from recommendation to review

Stanzora is built around one connected decision journey, not another collection of dashboards.

  1. Application received
  2. AI recommendation captured
  3. Rule applied
  4. Human review
  5. Outcome recorded
  6. Challenge submitted
  7. Revision linked
  8. Record exported and verified

Decision record

What was known when the decision was made: request, evidence, rule version, recommendation, reviewer and outcome.

Completeness

What was recorded and what is missing, shown separately from the integrity status.

Challenge history

The original decision and everything that followed: challenge, reviewer, reasons and linked revision.

Export and verification

A portable decision file and the steps to check it independently.

Command Center: governed decisions, held cases and evidence coverage. Working demo, simulated data.

Works alongside your stack

Keep your AI governance tools. Strengthen the decision record.

Stanzora does not replace your AI governance platform, model registry or risk tools. It sits underneath them as the record layer: the case file you can hand to an auditor, regulator or reviewer.

Governance tools manage the program

Policies, controls, inventories, assessments and oversight.

Stanzora focuses on the decision

Recorded evidence, applicable rules, human actions, outcomes and later challenges.

Interoperability with third-party platforms is part of the product direction. No production integrations are claimed today.

Security and deployment

Built for environments where evidence cannot leave

Planned for V1. Security documentation is available on request with a demo.

Runs in your environment

Stanzora is deployed in infrastructure you control. Decision evidence stays there.

Access on your terms

Stanzora staff have no access to your records unless you grant it.

Your rules apply

Assess it against your own hosting, security, retention and data-residency policies.

What Stanzora does not do

Stanzora is not model validation, bias testing, model monitoring or a replacement for your governance platform. It records the decision. Those tools do the rest.

This deployment model has not yet been validated in production.

Who it is for

Built for teams that may need to explain a decision

Public sector

When eligibility, benefits or program decisions are challenged.

Document how an automated recommendation influenced an administrative decision, who reviewed it and how any challenge was handled.

Financial services and insurance

When an AI-assisted assessment needs a closer look.

For risk, compliance and audit teams reviewing lending, claims and eligibility decisions. It complements existing financial controls rather than replacing them.

Health, HR and critical operations

When the record matters as much as the recommendation.

Document AI-assisted recommendations, professional review and resulting actions. Stanzora does not replace qualified professional judgment.

Illustrative examples

01

Benefits eligibility

An applicant appeals a denial. The record shows the evidence used, the policy version and who approved the decision.

02

Insurance claim

A flagged claim is reviewed. The file shows the AI recommendation, the adjuster's decision and the reasons.

03

Credit decision

A declined applicant asks why. The record holds the factors considered and the human sign-off.

Regulatory context

Relevant regulatory and governance frameworks

Stanzora's planned capabilities address record-keeping and review needs relevant to the frameworks below. Applicability depends on your organization, jurisdiction and use case.

  • Treasury Board Directive on Automated Decision-MakingRelevant to federal expectations for explaining automated decisions, documenting system use and providing recourse.
  • Quebec Law 25Relevant to explaining and reviewing decisions based exclusively on automated processing of personal information.
  • OSFI Guideline E-23Relevant to model risk expectations for documentation, traceability and independent review, including AI models. Effective May 1, 2027.
  • Bill C-36 (proposed)Relevant to proposed federal transparency and explanation duties for automated decision systems.
  • EU AI ActRelevant to traceability and record-keeping for high-risk AI systems, with most of those obligations applying from December 2, 2027.
  • NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001Relevant to documentation, accountability and lifecycle oversight practices.

Using Stanzora does not by itself make an organization compliant. Each organization remains responsible for determining which obligations apply and for meeting them.

FAQ

Questions worth asking before you adopt a decision-record system

What is Stanzora?

Stanzora is an AI governance product in development, focused on verifiable records of AI-assisted decisions. It preserves the evidence, rules, recommendations, human actions and outcomes behind individual decisions.

How is Stanzora different from AI governance platforms?

Governance platforms usually manage AI systems, policies, risk assessments and organizational controls. Stanzora focuses on the record of a specific decision, which an authorized party can verify without trusting the vendor. It complements those platforms rather than replacing them.

Can a record be verified without Stanzora?

That is a core goal for V1: exported records that can be checked with an offline verifier, without a Stanzora account or a connection to its services. This capability is still being developed and tested.

What does verification prove?

That a record has not changed since it was sealed, and which expected elements are present or missing. It does not prove that a decision was lawful, fair or correct. That judgment stays with your organization.

Can Stanzora explain an AI-assisted decision?

Stanzora preserves the information that supports an explanation of how a decision was reached. It cannot establish facts that were never recorded, and it does not claim to reveal a model's internal reasoning.

What happens when someone contests a decision?

The planned challenge workflow keeps the original record and links the review, the reasons and any revised outcome to it. It supports your existing appeal or recourse process. It does not replace legal or administrative procedures.

Does Stanzora help with Canada's Directive on Automated Decision-Making?

Stanzora is being built with obligations such as transparency, explanation, human involvement and recourse in mind, and can help organize the relevant evidence. Using it does not by itself make an organization compliant.

Does Stanzora replace human decision makers?

No. Stanzora records AI-assisted decisions and the actions of the people who review or authorize them. Accountability stays with your organization.

Where does our decision data live?

V1 is planned for deployment in an environment you control, so decision evidence is not sent to services operated by Stanzora. This deployment model has not yet been validated in production. Deployment details are covered in the demo.

How is Stanzora priced?

Pricing is discussed during the demo, based on scope and deployment.

Is Stanzora available today?

Not yet. Stanzora is an MVP in development with a working demo that uses simulated data. Launch is planned for 2027, and there are no customer deployments or pilots at this stage. You can request a demo below.
